CAPE YORK

CAPE YORK Tour Overview

As we make our way from Cairns to the tip of Australia, we will cover roughly 1500 km of the most amazing trails and tracks that the Cape York region has to offer. Watch as the country changes dramatically from day to day as we explore areas such as the prehistoric rainforests of the Daintree to the wide-open plains of Lakefield National Park. We will discover the history of Far North Queensland as we visit places such as Cooktown, the iconic Lion’s Den Hotel, and the Old Morton Telegraph Station.

The riding is ever-changing and fun every day, and it wouldn’t be a trip to Cape York without tackling the tracks that have made the place a “bucket list” trip such as the Old Telegraph Track, CREB Track, Frenchman’s Track, and Starke Track. With exclusive access to private stations and Aboriginal land throughout the tour, this makes for a unique adventure as we get you off the normal tourist routes and experience some of the places of Cape York that are rarely visited.

Our fleet of trail bikes consists of all current model Suzuki DRZ400s equipped with everything required for a trip to Cape York. From the second you are picked up from your accommodation until your return, you can relax knowing everything is taken care of by the staff and crew at Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures. The guides on the tour are qualified first-aiders and carry a satellite phone and EPIRB in case of an emergency situation or bike breakdown.
