Most of Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures tours are in very remote areas. So, it is essential that we are as self-sufficient as possible. Our aim is to make everyone who joins us not only have that bucket list adventure of a lifetime but feel safe and comfortable knowing we are there to help in the unlikely event of an emergency situation.

Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures Pty Ltd recognises the importance of reducing greenhouse gas
emissions associated with tourism operations and is committed to continually improving environmental
performance while delivering high-quality motorcycle adventure experiences throughout Australia and
internationally.
Emissions Assessment
The primary sources of emissions associated with Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures' operations are:
• Fuel consumption from motorcycles used during guided tours. • Fuel consumption from support
vehicles, trucks and trailers. • Domestic and international flights associated with tour operations. •
Accommodation and hospitality services used during tours. • Electricity consumption at workshop and
business premises. • Freight and transport associated with parts, equipment and merchandise.
Based on an assessment of business operations, fuel consumption associated with motorcycles and
support vehicles represents the largest source of operational emissions.
Emissions Reduction Actions
Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures has implemented and will continue to implement the following
measures to reduce emissions:
• Operating modern, fuel-efficient motorcycle fleets. • Maintaining motorcycles and support vehicles to
manufacturer specifications to maximise fuel efficiency. • Reducing unnecessary vehicle movements
through detailed tour planning and logistics. • Maximising rider numbers per tour to improve transport
efficiency per guest. • Utilising digital booking systems, waivers and documentation to reduce paper
consumption. • Reducing waste generation and encouraging recycling wherever facilities are available. •
Sourcing local goods and services where practical to minimise transport-related emissions. • Reviewing
opportunities for carbon offset programs and other emissions reduction initiatives as they become
practical for the business.
Future Targets
Over the next three years, Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures aims to:
• Improve fuel efficiency across operational vehicles and motorcycles. • Continue reducing paper-based
administration through digital systems. • Investigate emissions measurement tools to provide more
detailed annual reporting. • Review and update this emissions reduction plan annually.
