VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY Tour Overview

Our 7-day Vic High Country Tour includes rugged backcountry trails and old forestry tracks, with a range of routes to suit different levels of ability. We can split the group with breakout routes when facing technical and challenging tracks. Our support truck will follow along, carrying all of your gear, and meet up with us each afternoon with some cold beers. This ride is best suited to trail bikes with full Australian rego and a fuel range of roughly 150kms. Smaller adventure bikes such as KTM690 and Husky 701 are okay for skilled riders.

  • Start and Finish: Our tour will start and finish on the western side of the Victorian High Country in the small town of Healesville, which is located 65kms from the center of Melbourne.

  • Duration: 7 Days of riding, covering approximately 1500 kilometers.

  • Terrain: 85% dirt roads and 15% bitumen.

  • Skill Level: Must be comfortable riding at 80KM/ph on dirt roads and 100KM/ph on main roads. Advanced option includes mud, rocks, river crossings, bull dust, single trail and technical terrain.

  • Accommodation: Tented camping each night with options to upgrade options to upgrade to rooms on certain nights. All campsites have showers and toilets, except for when we stay in Cattlemen’s huts.

  • Distances: Each day varies between roughly 150 – 400kms, and you will need around a 300km fuel range.

  • Varying terrain and tracks, some of which are weather dependent, may cause routes to be slightly altered to suit the day. The Victorian High Country is known for its steepness and ruggedness. Therefore, we recommend an intermediate to advanced level of riding ability at minimum to participate safely in this event. Single Trail and 4WD tracks - easier options available for lesser skilled riders.

  • This trail bike tour is ideal for bikes smaller than, or including, a Husky 701. If you're using a hire bike, all necessary camping gear—including a tent and mattress—will be provided. As a fully supported tour, your camping equipment will be transported by our equipped support truck, which will meet us at the campsite each day, along with your gear and a fully stocked esky.


  • We have 16 Honda CRF450RLs available for hire. Bike hire includes all necessary camping gear, such as a tent and air mattress.

  • Each night, we will be camping at different locations such as caravan parks, national parks, outback pubs, and cattlemen’s huts. Each night there will be showers available with the exception of when we stay in the cattlemen’s huts, as there may not be shower facilities available. There are options to upgrade to rooms on certain nights at your own cost.

    We will be eating at restaurants/pubs and there will be places to restock snacks at almost every fuel stop and town we pass through. Snacks will also be available from the support truck.

    Please note that our itinerary is subject to change depending on road closures at the time of the tour, post-wet season conditions, and weather.
